Heads up: only the seven live iGaming states carry confirmed dates here. Everything else is clearly labelled as placeholder while we verify it. And remember, a legal sportsbook or online poker room in your state does not mean online casino games are legal too.

What the labels mean

Legal & Live

You can play real-money online casino games at licensed, regulated sites right now.

Legal — Awaiting Launch

It's been legalized, but regulated sites haven't gone live yet.

Limited / Partial

Only part of online gaming is legal (online poker only, for example), not full casino games.

Legislation / Movement

Bills or a formal study are on the table, but nothing has passed or launched.

No Current Legalization

No online casino here yet, only lottery, sports betting or free social/sweepstakes play where offered.

One thing worth repeating: online casino (iGaming) is its own category, separate from online sports betting and online poker. A state can allow one and not the others, so a legal sportsbook is not a green light for online casino games.
